A set of ZnO films of different thickness have been deposited on sapphire substrates using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) by varying the growth time and the effect of film thickness on the structural  electrical and optical properties have been investigated. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicate that the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the (002) diffraction peak is decreased as the film thickness increasing  and the stress along c-axis is stable. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) measurement shows that the grains become more uniform as the film grows thicker and the film surface present distinct hexagon shape as the film is grown up to a thickness of 500nm. The optical absorbance  Hall mobility and photoluminescence (PL) intensity are increased in accordance with the thickness of the film. (2011) Trans Tech Publications  Switzerland.

In recent years  Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) with small size and low mass is required in many applications with growing need for real-time and small platform spectral detection. In this paper  a micro Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) based on spatial modulation mode was designed. This spectrometer has the advantages of high stability and simplified configuration. It also promises optical path differences (OPD) with high precision  as MOEMS technology is used in manufacturing the key components. The simulation and the experiments with regard to this FTIR configuration have been done. Firstly  the diffraction effect of the micro multi-step mirrors (MMSMs) is studied. We discuss the influence to the reversed spectrum by different mirror widths and different diffraction distances. Secondly  we simulate and analyze the influence of the source solid angle to the spectral resolution. Thirdly  we set up the theoretical model of the collimation error which is mainly from the defocus of the optical system and analyze the result caused by the collimation error. Fourthly  a new discrete Fourier transform arithmetic using least-squares cosines progression (LSCP) is proposed which can reconstruct the spectrum with nonuniform sampled signals. Finally  the MMSMs are fabricated used the MOEMS technology and the structural parameters are tested. 2011 Copyright Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).

The surface profile of Wolter type-I mirror has a great impact on the performance of Solar X-ray Telescope. According to the existing fabrication instrument and experimental conditions in our lab  an in situ Long Trace Profiler is developed and set up on the fabrication instrument in order to measure the surface profile of Wolter mirror in real time during fabrication process. Its working mechanism  structural parameters and data processing algorithm are investigated. The prototype calibrated by a standard plane mirror is used to measure a sample of Wolter type-I mirror. The results show that our prototype can achieve an accuracy of 2.6rad rms for slope error with a stability of 1.33rad during the whole measurement period. This can meet further fabrication requirements. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In the transportation monitor system  we set up the area of interest (AOI) of the vehicle model and adjust the size of AOI dynamically in order to track vehicle accurately. The results of experiment show that  motive vehicle detection by adopting digital image is one of key technologies. To detect motive vehicle accurately  the arithmetic proposed in the paper can suppress shadow availably  we establish an adaptive background updating model firstly. Noise is suppressed by using modality filter  detect motive vehicle accurately and satisfy real-time motive vehicle tracking. 2009 SPIE.  and we obtain binary image by using maximum entropy to choose dynamic adaptive threshold. Based on positive information of shadow and aspect feature of motive vehicle  we adopt HSV colour space and double threshold to solve the problem of vehicle shadow. As a result of comparative study on human visual and Free Space Optical (FSO) communication  a new concept of satellites laser interconnect was proposed based on human bionics. For the laser link is difficult to set up directly  a new concept was given out based on the three processes of human visual capturing the objectives: voice assisting to guide  eyes' wide Field Of View (FOV) cursory capturing and eyes' foveal FOV high-resolution imaging. Three similar processes were introduced to spaceborne laser interconnect which were radio assisting to guide  beacons laser wide FOV capturing and communication laser narrow FOV capturing  so that the difficulty of setting up the optical communication link was reduced evidently. Meanwhile  the antenna optical system based on the bionics was given out. Each laser terminal configured two independent optical antenna  through the spaceborne storage and time-domain link switching  complex topology network could be set up. The simulation system was built using Virtual Reality Toolbox  the result showed that the laser terminal could search and set up communication links  which took about only lOOms from capturing the beacon to setting up communication. 2009 IEEE.

In order to obtain three-dimensional observation effect with single satellite borne time delay and integrate charge coupled device (TDI-CCD)  pitching imaging is required. More accurate real-time image motion velocity vector computational model of space camera is also necessary to make the imaging perfect. Imaging motion velocity vector computation model must be set up on image plane at pitching imaging. According to the geometric relationship between the pitching imaging space camera and the Earth's rotation motion  satellite borne TDI CCD pitching imaging motion velocity vector model is derived by mapping the ground speed to the image plane and using coordinate transformation method. The numerical simulation results show that the image velocity model can reduce deviation angle error about 33' and about 30% image motion speed error compared to traditional ground velocity model. 2009 IEEE.

The photoresist coating is an important micro machining process widely applied in engineering. The formed film should be uniform and enough thin to assure the quality of final pattern whose line width is micrometer or nanometer. It is more difficult to process it on the spherical surface than on the flat. In this work  mathematic model of film thickness on the spherical surface is proposed by using hydromechanics. The key factors that influence the film thickness are obtained from the analysis of coating process. Then  the rational parameters which be controlled by the automatic photoresist coating machine can be final set up according to the result of the coating experiments. And the accuracy analysis of the key part which is used for the main process is performed by the error analytics. This machine not only makes the whole coating process automation  but also monitors the film quality in real time. It is adequate for aspheric surface also. 2009 IEEE.
