The paper proposes a new measurement method of angular acceleration for photoelectric servo turntable. Piezoelectric angular acceleration sensor is used to measure angular acceleration directly  Adaptive FIR filter based on LMS algorithm is established on DSP  by which angular acceleration signal can be filtered and corrected errors adaptively  then angular acceleration signals can be measured adaptively. This method avoids measurement errors and calculation noise by computing angular acceleration indirectly  thus improving measurement precision and making measurement results better than traditional methods. The gotten angular acceleration can be sent to servo control mechanism as feed forward control signals to improve control effects of servo turntable significantly. 2011 IEEE.

In recent years  Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) with small size and low mass is required in many applications with growing need for real-time and small platform spectral detection. In this paper  a micro Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) based on spatial modulation mode was designed. This spectrometer has the advantages of high stability and simplified configuration. It also promises optical path differences (OPD) with high precision  as MOEMS technology is used in manufacturing the key components. The simulation and the experiments with regard to this FTIR configuration have been done. Firstly  the diffraction effect of the micro multi-step mirrors (MMSMs) is studied. We discuss the influence to the reversed spectrum by different mirror widths and different diffraction distances. Secondly  we simulate and analyze the influence of the source solid angle to the spectral resolution. Thirdly  we set up the theoretical model of the collimation error which is mainly from the defocus of the optical system and analyze the result caused by the collimation error. Fourthly  a new discrete Fourier transform arithmetic using least-squares cosines progression (LSCP) is proposed which can reconstruct the spectrum with nonuniform sampled signals. Finally  the MMSMs are fabricated used the MOEMS technology and the structural parameters are tested. 2011 Copyright Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).

In order to implement two-dimensional moving object's non-contact and real-time speed measurement  in this paper  wc proposed a new method which was based on the characteristic of FPGA and a real-time two-dimensional correlation speed measurement was proposed on image processing using high speed CMOS shown in figure 1. Experimental installation was shown in figure 2  a cardboard with images which was fixed in electric control movement device was moving to simulate moving object  the CMOS image sensor gathered image signals of the cardboard and the image signals was output to FPGA after a serials pretreatment such as binaryzation etc. Logical operation insteaded mathematical operation on FPGA to implement two frames image's cross-correlation operations as the formula (10) in this paper  and finally calculate the two-dimensional velocity. Through experiment result of table 1 we drawn an conclusion the accurarcy of the method in this paper was less than 1 pixel and the method can be used at a certain speed ranges of two-dimensional  real-time speed measurement. 2010 IEEE.

A smart camera is composed of a video sensing  high-level video processing  communication and other affiliations within a single device. Such cameras are very important devices in quality control systems. This paper presents a prototyping development of a smart camera for quality control. The smart camera is divided to four parts: a CMOS sensor  a digital signal processor (DSP)  a CPLD and a display device. In order to improving the processing speed  low-level and high-level video processing algorithms are discussed to the embedded DSP-based platforms. The algorithms can quickly and automatic detect productions' quality defaults. All algorithms are tested under a Matlab-based prototyping implementation and migrated to the smart camera. The smart camera prototype automatic processes the video data and streams the results of the video data to the display devices and control devices. Control signals are send to produce-line to adjust the producing state within the required real-time constrains.

Star sensor is a special high accuracy photoelectric sensor. Attitude acquisition time is an important function index of star sensor. In this paper  the design target is to acquire 10 samples per second dynamic performance. On the basis of analyzing CCD signals timing and star image processing  a new design and a special parallel architecture for improving star image processing are presented in this paper. In the design  the operation moving the data in expanded windows including the star to the on-chip memory of DSP is arranged in the invalid period of CCD frame signal. During the CCD saving the star image to memory  DSP processes the data in the on-chip memory. This parallelism greatly improves the efficiency of processing. The scheme proposed here results in enormous savings of memory normally required. In the scheme  DSP HOLD mode and CPLD technology are used to make a shared memory between CCD and DSP. The efficiency of processing is discussed in numerical tests. Only in 3.5ms is acquired the five lightest stars in the star acquisition stage. In 43us  the data in five expanded windows including stars are moved into the internal memory of DSP  and in 1.6ms  five star coordinates are achieved in the star tracking stage.

North-finder system is an important application of the inertial technology. It provides true north azimuth information to f all kinds of ground-based equipment. This paper designed a dynamic automatic north-finder based on the modulation output of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG). In this scheme  the sine output signal of the FOG was sampled and disposed  and then the real north of surveyed point on the surface of earth was calculated. The deviation caused by the base tilt was compensated by an accelerator. The output signals of FOG and accelerator were computed combined with the position sampled from increasing encoder by digital signal processor. Successive rotating technique was adopted to modulate the FOG signal periodically. Most of the low frequency part of random gyro drift errors was compensated. The north-finder accuracy was improved compared with the traditional static measuring method. The test result shows the FOG automatic north-finder obtains 2' true north angle accuracies within not more than three minutes  can meet the orientation need of artillery  terrain measurement vehicle  armored car  unmanned drive vehicle  geodetic survey and tunnel exploration.
