Motion estimation is a very important part of video compression. As a result of using precision of motion vector in H.264 encoder
the computational cost increases rapidly
and motion estimation is the most time-consuming stage. In this paper
based on the UMHexagonS algorithm
an optimized algorithm is proposed based on the dynamic search window selection
big hexagon and small hexagon search mode respectively
which saves motion estimation time effectively with a little quality loss. Experiments with some typical video sequences show that compared to the original UMHexagonS algorithm
this new algorithm can save about 17.851 % motion estimation time and reduce the complexity of original scheme as well as enhance the real time performance of encoder and almost has no changes in the reconstructed picture quality and bitrates. 2010 IEEE.

In order to meet special requests of optical imaging sensor in scene matching navigation system
a disc varifocal mechanism is proposed for the flight vehicles of long flying time and range. Within small space occupied
it can obtain real images with various resolutions. Moreover
using plate traveling-wave Ultrasonic Motor as its driven motor can reduce energy loss
improve control precision and ensure image obtaining being real-time and stable. Disc varifocal mechanism driven by plate traveling-wave Ultrasonic Motor is high-response
and variation in load doesn't affect its performance parameter. Therefore
applying disc varifocal mechanism in scene matching navigation system
combing software and hardware
can obviously improve the accuracy
real-time and robust of scene matching navigation system. The experiment showed that when the weight of mechanism was 1.5kg
the shortest starting was 0.6ms
and the shortest shutoff was 0.5ms. 2009 IEEE.

Hough transform is recognized as a powerful tool in shape analysis which gives good results even in the presence of noise and the disconnection of edge. However
3. applying the standard Hough transform equation to every point of the input image edge

Experiment results show the approach not only can recognize regular geometric object but also can extract the segment feature of real targets in complex environment. So the proposed method can be used in the target detection of complicated scenes
