The piezo-electric steering control system is used to compensate the vibration of satellite platform. The mathematical model of piezo-electric steering system is built. The adaptive controller based on improved LMS filter algorithm is designed according to this system characteristic. The adaptive delay filter is designed to solve slow convergence speed problem of traditional algorithm. Meanwhile  the adaptive delay filter can also compensate phase delay of control circuit. The adaptive deviation filter is introduced and it effectively compensates the vibration deviation which is low frequency and high amplitude. The experimental results show that the remained errors are rad  which meets space optical communication requirement and proves that this control scheme is valid and feasible. A new particle filter-the Local Optimum Particle Filter (LOPF) algorithm is presented for tracking object accurately and steadily in visual sequences in real time which is a challenge task in computer vision field. In order to using the particles efficiently  we first use Sobel algorithm to extract the profile of the object. Then  we employ a new Local Optimum algorithm to auto-initialize some certain number of particles from these edge points as centre of the particles. The main advantage we do this in stead of selecting particles randomly in conventional particle filter is that we can pay more attentions on these more important optimum candidates and reduce the unnecessary calculation on those negligible ones  in addition we can overcome the conventional degeneracy phenomenon in a way and decrease the computational costs. Otherwise  the threshold is a key factor that affecting the results very much. So here we adapt an adaptive threshold choosing method to get the optimal Sobel result. The dissimilarities between the target model and the target candidates are expressed by a metric derived from the Bhattacharyya coefficient. Here  we use both the counter cue to select the particles and the color cur to describe the targets as the mixture target model. The effectiveness of our scheme is demonstrated by real visual tracking experiments. Results from simulations and experiments with real video data show the improved performance of the proposed algorithm when compared with that of the standard particle filter. The superior performance is evident when the target encountering the occlusion in real video where the standard particle filter usually fails.

Real time adaptability is of central importance for the control of Unmanned Helicopter flying under different circumstances. In this paper  an active model is employed to handle the time varying uncertainties involved in the helicopter dynamics during flight. In the scheme  a normal LQR control designed from a simplified model at hovering is enhanced by means of Unscented-Kalman-Filter (UKF) based estimation  which tries to online capture the error between the simplified model and the full dynamics. This is intended to achieve adaptive performance without the need of adjusting the controller modes or parameters along with the changing dynamics of helicopter. Simulations with respect to a model helicopter are conducted to verify both the UKF-based estimation and the enhanced LQR control. Results are also demonstrated with the normal LQR control with the active model enhancement.

Vehicle navigation is the corn element of Intelligent Transport System. The integrated system of "Beidou" Double-star/DR is studied in this paper according to the present state of vehicle navigation in our country. "Beidou" Double-star navigation position system is one regional satellite position system built up by our country  which can provide rapidly not only highly precision position and brevity telegram service. However  when the vehicles go around the tall buildings  high mountain area  wayside trees and in the tunnels  all signal may not be received. If the satellite navigation position system is used only  the precision will be reduced. Therefore  this paper proposes a nonlinear self-adaptive Kalman filter model and its algorithm for a Double-star/DR integrated navigation system in land vehicles  and verifies effectively the algorithm and scheme through the means of simulation. Next  this paper introduces map match approach. The roads are segmented and character information is brought out. Then  proper search rules and map match algorithm are adopted. According to the current vehicle position information that Double-Star/DR system provides  the nearest road can be found in the map database. The vehicle position will be matched and displayed on the road. The result of the experiment shows that the Double-star/DR integrated algorithm and map match can improve reliability and the precision of vehicle navigation system efficiently.

A method for image compression of biorthogonal wavelet transform based on lifting scheme with SPIHT (Set Partitioning In Hierachical Trees) is proposed in this paper. Wavelet transform affords wide space for image coding algorithms because of its excellent space-frequency localization characterizations. The compact supported  symmetrical and biorthogonal wavelet has linear phase  so it is applied on image compression area widely. The lifting scheme is an efficient method for constructing the wavelet filter after multiresolution. Under the condition of biorthogonal  biorthogonal wavelet base can be constructed freely according to the wavelet performance. And it can quicken the implementation speed of the wavelet transform. Analyzing the algorithm of lifting scheme is applying for constructing biorthogonal wavelet. Experimental results indicate that the method of the biorthogonal wavelet that has good performances with SPIHT is applying for image compression  so as image synthesis performs well. 2005 IEEE.
