The paper introduces the white-light spectral scanning interferometry for surface measurement. This interferometry can be used to measure the roughness of both smooth surfaces and those with large step heights. This real-time surface measurement can be achieved using acousto-optic tuneable filtering (AOTF) technique without mechanical scanning. At first
the structure and principle of this interferometry is introduced. Then the algorithm of the surface roughness measurement is proposed. What's more
the experiment with standard test piece is conducted. Compared with the traditional laser-light interferometry
the data shows that the proposed method has a higher accuracy which is proved to be nano-scale. A conclusion is given at last in which the superiorities and the limitations of the proposed system were discussed. 2010 SPIE.

Optimizing the control mode of optical payload could improve the payload's work efficiency. When the mathematic model of payload's control mode was established
optimization problems could be boiled down to seek the maximal value of the function with many variables. This paper put forward a calculational method to base the mathematic model
the calculational method was multi-population genetic algorithm (MPGA). After the 0-1 variables and real multidimensional ones had been coded separately
the algorithm established the populations independently
made the multidimensional variables as the centrosome and combined 0-1 ones to work out the maximal value of the function which was established to describe the control mode of the optical payload. Moreover
the emulational experiment had been done with the material arithmetic operators. The result indicates that the method using MPGA can hurdle the disadvantage of traditional ones which calculate slowly and get into local best value trap easily . It has the characters that not only fits large scale area scout
but also gets the best value in full scale rapidly
so this algorithm can better satisfy the technology demand for the intelligent control of optical payload. 2009 IEEE.

Optical interconnection is the key technique of high-speed optical information process and optical communication. A lot of approaches for optical interconnection have been proposed since Goodman in Stanford University firstly proposed the optical interconnection for very large scale integrated circuits technology. A dynamical addressing device for optical interconnection was designed and fabricated in this paper. This optical device is based on one-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystal made on the planar waveguide. The nonlinear materials ZnS and ZnSe
which have large nonlinear refractive index coefficients
were alternately deposited on the waveguide to form one-dimensional photonic crystal. The Bragg condition is changed when the input power of the control light increased due to the nonlinear characters of the materials
thus the reflective angle of the signal light can be changed with the input power change of the control light. In our experiment
when increasing the power density of control light from 0 to 2.60X105W/cm 2
the angle of the signal beam can be changed about 20. The interconnection characteristics were investigated in theory and in experiment. The testing data agree well with theoretical predictions. This kind of devices is promising to use in the all-optical interconnection
optical information processing and optical communication.
