The design of ultraviolet ozone vertical profile probe is illustrated and the electronic system is introduced in detail. The device is a compact  high precision  ultraviolet-vacuum  ultraviolet spectral radiometer  and is used to measure atmospheric solar backscattering spectral radiance and solar spectral irradiance. Noise of the system is analyzed and Numeric accumulation and synchronous demodulation was used to decrease the noise and the zero-drift of the instrument. The solar irradiance at altitude 830 km in 160-400 nm and the backscattering solar spectral radiance in the ultraviolet ozone absorption band at 12 wavelengths from 250 nm to 340 nm are obtained. Test results on orbit show that all the requested function is met successfully and the performance is stable. 2011 IEEE.

The Raman scattering of I2 liquid-core optical fiber under the condition of resonance absorption in liquid-core optical fiber is studied in this paper. Iodine is dissolved in transparent benzene to make solution of I2 in benzene  and the absorption coefficients of the solution are measured at certain wavelengths. The absorption curve can be divided into non-resonance absorption region  pre-resonance absorption region  strict resonance absorption region  and post-resonance absorption region respectively. Resonance absorption Raman scattering experiments are conducted by a 532 nm frequency-doubled Nd:YVO4 laser  and the wavelength is in the strict resonance absorption region of solution of I2 in benzene. Compared with I2  the absorption of benzene can be neglected. Non-resonance Raman scattering of the solution is performed using a 632.8 nm He-Ne laser  and no spectrum lines of I2 are found. The study demonstrates that there is one spectrum line of I2 in the Raman scattering spectrum in the I 2 liquid-core optical fiber  but this line is not found in the spectrum of the non-resonance and resonance absorption Raman scattering of I2 solution in benzene using absorption cell. The experiments proved that I 2 Raman scattering  is greatly enhanced by using both resonance absorption and liquid-core optical fiber.

Thiol-capped CdSe/CdS core/shell nanocrystals (NCs) which show high luminescence quantum yield are synthesized in an aqueous solution. UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy are employed to analyze optical characters and stabilities of NCs. Furthermore  PL properties are studied in a temperature range between 77K and 300K. The PL peak position of bare CdSe NCs shifts toward shorter wavelengths and the band becomes sharper with decreasing temperature. On the same condition  the PL peak position of CdSe/CdS core/shell NCs keeps unconverted nearly with the variation of temperature. Photostability of bare CdSe NCs and CdSe/CdS core/shell NCs are compared under the 325nm laser irradiation. It takes 78 seconds that the PL intensity declines to the half for CdSe NCs  but 442 seconds for CdSe/CdS core/shell NCs. The fluorescence decay lifetime increases about six times after overcoating. The results indicate that the CdS shell can improve the low temperature PL stability and photostability of CdSe NCs effectively.

Near-infrared spectroscopy was used to examine unmodified wheat powder at temperatures of 14-65C. A self-regulating diffuse reflected assembly was used to permit collection of spectra of powder samples. Changes to the shape and peak location of the 1400-1500nm and 1900-1950nm water absorption bands  2000-2050  2070-2110 and 2250-2300nm bands were measured as temperature varied. Results indicated that temperature changes resulted in slight changes to the water absorption bands in 1400-1500nm and 1900-1950nm regions. From 14-65C  the 1400-1500nm and 2050-2150nm band shifted approximately 10nm and 16nm toward shorter wavelengths  and 2000-2050nm band shifted approximately 14nm toward longer wavelengths. In addition few numbers of samples cannot constitute good temperature insensitive calibration model even though the spectra were obtained at wide temperature condition.
