To deal with the defects of BP neural networks used in balance control of inverted pendulum  such as longer train time and converging in partial minimum  this article reaLizes the control of double inverted pendulum with improved BP algorithm of artificial neural networks(ANN)  builds up a training model of test simulation and the BP network is 6-10-1 structure. Tansig function is used in hidden layer and PureLin function is used in output layer  LM is used in training algorithm. The training data is acquried by three-loop PID algorithm. The model is learned and trained with Matlab calculating software  and the simuLink simulation experiment results prove that improved BP algorithm for inverted pendulum control has higher precision  better astringency and lower calculation. This algorithm has wide appLication on nonLinear control and robust control field in particular. 2011 IEEE.

A new speech enhancement system that combine robust signal enhancement and minimum signal distortion is proposed in this paper. The proposed method introduces frequency depended  parametric  MMSE filtering techniques that involve wavelet packets. Voice activity detection (VAD) is used to further distinguish speech from noise and help to adaptively remove noise components from color noise eruptive noisy speech  while perceptual criteria is also taken into account. Experimental results and objective quality measurement test results validate the proposed speech enhancement system and illustrate the benefit of the proposed wavelet domain MMSE filtering as an excellent speech enhancement method to provide sufficient noise reduction and good intelligibility and perceptual quality  without causing considerable signal distortion and musical background noise method. 2010 IEEE.

With the increasing demands for the agility of the next earth imaging satellite  control moment gyro (CMG) is considered to be the most suitable actuator because of its torque amplification capability. However  a CMG system may introduce uncertainty of inertia dyadic to a satellite's attitude control system. The uncertainty is negligible for large space vehicles  but it has not been tested whether it can be ignored for small agile satellites. How to model the CMG system inertia dyadic varying with gimbal angles  and what influence it will put on the performance of attitude control system haven't been test accurately as well. All of them are dealt with mathematically and accurately in this paper. This paper firstly gives mathematic descriptions of the inertia dyadic of the 4-CMG pyramid configuration system  varying with gimbal angles  and then designs a variable structure control law for small agile satellite using CMGs. Finally  numerical simulation suggests that the inertia dyadic variation of a 4-CMG pyramid configuration system is approximately centesimal of the total inertia dyadic of the satellite  and that the designed variable structure control law is of good robust performance for an example of large-angle attitude maneuver  despite of the variation of the inertia dyadic. 2010 IEEE.

Task Assignment Problems (TAPs) in distributed computer system are general NP-hard and usually modeled as integer programming discrete problems. Many algorithms are proposed to resolve those problems. Discrete particle swarm algorithm (DPS) is a newly developed method to solve constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) which has advantage on search capacity and can find more solutions. We proposed an improved DPS to solve TAP in this paper. DPS has a special operator namely coefficient multiplying speed  which is designed for CSP but does not exist in other discrete problems. Thus we redefined a coefficient multiplying speed operator with probability selection. We analyzed the speed and position updating formula then we derived a refined position updating formula. Several experiments are carried out to test our DPS. Experimental results show that our algorithm has more efficient search capacity  higher success rate  less running time and more robust.

This paper presents a method for detecting and tracking of low contrast targets. The new method uses an integer-type lifting wavelet transform and the proposed method doesn't extract patterns similar to a template  but finds parts having the same feature in the targets. We utilize one of integer-type lifting wavelet transforms that contains rounding-off arithmetic for mapping integers to integers. The lifting term contains parameters that are learned by using standard training images of targets. We assume that the targets include many high frequency components. In order to obtain the features of the targets  the lifting parameters are determined by a condition that high frequency components are vanished in wavelet transform. But the condition cannot be determined by the parameters wholly. So  we put an additional condition of minimizing the squared sum of the lifting parameters. The advantage of using integer-type wavelet transform is simple and robust to noise. Simulation illustrated the approach can detect and track the moving targets in dim background. We would test our algorithm in the TV tracking system.
