英文摘要	The states of a vertically coupled 3-quantum-dot(QD) system with and without a charged impurity located on the z-axis are studied in an external magnetic field B. For the true ground state the expectation values of the one-electron energy, the electron-electron Coulomb interaction energy, both the distance of the electron from the origin and the distance between two electrons, and the expectation value of angular momentum of each quantum dot, are obtained as a function of B. It is found that, the positive (negative) charge impurity would delay (promote) the phase transition of the true ground state of the whole system. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
