英文摘要dissociative excitation of so2,socl2 through single collision with ar(p-3(0,2)) have been studied by observing so(a - x) emission in the beam apparatus. the nascent vibrational distribution of so(a,v') was determined. a surprisal analysis of the nascent vibrational distribution of so(a) indicated that the precursor molecules dissociation could occur predominately from superexcited states (rydberg-states). the formation rate constants of so(a) have been determined for ar(p-3(0,2))/so2 and ar(p-3(0,2))/socl2 reactions, they are: 4.55x10(-12)cm(3)-molcule(-1).s(-1) and 2.87x10(-12)cm(3).molecule(-1).s(-1), respectively. a comparison between the observed formation rate constants and known total quenching rate constants indicated that dissociative excitation processes are minor exit channels.
