中文摘要 | With the support of the geographic information systems, we assessed the radiation benefits of soil conservation services in three periods (1986, 1996 and 2006) in the Longdong loess plateau important eco-function area, China. The Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) and our own model on the radiation benefits of soil conservation services were used for evaluation. Our data indicated that the average annual soil conservation services amounts were more than 300 million tons in the study area and the radiation amounts outside were more than 34 million t. Moreover, the average annual radiation benefits were more than 1.8 billion Yuan RMB ($ 281.3 million); the radiation range of the soil conservation services was 3 times of their habitat (83.7 thousand km(2)). In addition, due to development of economy and society and increase of human activities over the 20 years from 1986 to 2006, with the decrease of soil conservation services and radiation amounts, the radiation benefits decreased by 11.8%. Meanwhile, the soil erosion amount increased by 59.4% over the 20 years, indicating that human activities had significant negative impacts on the soil conservation services in ecosystems. Our data showed that the soil conservation services possessed the spatial radiation and transfer benefits and could radiate outside the study area in a range more than 3 times of their habitat. Together, our study could promote people's understanding of the ecosystems service radiation functions and spatial transfer benefits and contribute to formulation of ecological conservation policies, land management in important eco-function areas. |
