中文摘要	1979年11月2日深夜,雅安城西北园光山下的陆王沟、干溪沟和五云沟,在大暴雨激发下,几乎同时暴发了灾害性泥石流。泥石流发生在人密厂多、交通要道、专署所在地的雅安城附近(附图),给工农业生产和人民生命财产造成了巨大的损失。灾害发生后,四川省、雅安地市各级政府及其所属有关领导,随即奔赴现场、亲自查灾救灾和慰问;省计委、中国科学院地学部立刻行文。专门安排研究治理工作;省防汛抗旱指挥部对雅安泥石流治理试点工程的规划、设计、施工到竣工鉴定验收,始终予以正确的统筹、协调和管理。
英文摘要	In the Small hours of Nov. 2, 1979, a disastrous debris flow took place in Luwang Gully and Ganqi Gully, located in the northwestof "Rainy City"——Yaan. This region belongs to wed and rainycentral subtropical mountain ( annual mean temperature 16.2℃, annual mean rainfall 1782mm) ,The basin areas of Luwang Gully and Ganqi Gully arc 2.4km2 and 10.1km2 respectively. The mean longitudinal gradients of gully bed are 0.179 and 0.137 respectively. The solid materials totals of two gullies arc up 100 thousand m3 and 170 thousand m3 or so. The grain sizes of debris flow granulars are thicker and most of them are over 1m. In this region, debris flows had taken place many times in history.Taking allover planning, adaptation to local conditions, comprehentive control, implement by stages and economy as principles, we made a planning for preventing and controlling debris flow in two gullies. From 1980-1983, the engineering and plant measures have been taken on and have had initial effects.
