中文摘要	汉江流域地处我国中纬度的腹心地带，战略地位十分重要。流域已有一定经济实力和发展基础，具备较快发展的条件。但目前发展水平尚不高，产业发展层次低，结构不合理，存在交通不便，资源不丰，开放不够，投资能力小等不利因素。流域的发展应主要面向长江产业带，面向沿海和太平洋，实行轴发展模式。以市场为导向，依靠科学技术，逐步实现产业集约化和持续发展。
英文摘要	Hanjiang Valley lies in the mid-latitude zone and locates on the hinterland of China, occupying an important st rateg ic role. The valley has had fair economic strength and development foundation. In overall assessment , its development level is still not high, with low industrial rank and unfav ourable indust rial st ructure. Some disadvantageous factors remain to be tackled for its future development , for instance, poor communication, shortage of resources, inadequate opening to out side world and limited investment, etc. For its development , it should orient its main economic activities to the Yangtze Valley industrial zone, to the coastal areas and to the Pacific economiccycles. It should carry out the core-axis development pattern. With the guidance of market economy and relying on scientific and technical progress, it should keep effort to realise industrial intension and sustainable development.
