英文摘要	The study of mountain hazard is a young discipline．As a boundary science．it is undergo ing development and perfection．The term of“mountain hazard”is used widely，but the n3．eaning is quite different according to different author This paper has discussed the conception of nlountai1"I hazard and its classification The soil and water hazards in the mo untain iS a type of the mour~tain hazards，an d includes soll erosion on slope ，debris flow ，lan dslide and landfar1．Based 012 the investigation，I believed that the formation an d development of soil and water hazards in mountain is predominan tly controlled by the special mountain conditions of geology (fault，active neotectonic and earlhquake)，gcomophology(wide gap between positive and negative landforms，mountains with steep slopes)and climate(sharp difference of dry and wet se．ssons concentrated and intensive rainstorm ) The mall’s irrational USe of nlountain resources by exce&sive logging and grazing，cultivation O12 step slopes，mining dispo sal，and road oonstructlon．is mainly responsible for the dense developed of soil an d water hazards in mountain.
