Modal parameter identification of civil engineering structures based on Hilbert-Huang transform

英文摘要Modal parameter identification of the structure is one of the most attractive research topics in the structural health monitoring area. Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) has been proved as a powerful tool to process non-stationary and nonlinear signals adaptively. In this paper, two approaches were proposed to identify the modal parameters. The first one is based on the HHT and the random decrement technique (RDT). The second one is based on the empirical mode decomposition (EMD), RDT and the ITD methods. Then, the original signals measured from the field ambient vibration test of an arch bridge and the shaking table test of a RC frame model were processed and modal parameters were identified respectively. Results indicate that the proposed approaches are feasible.
