英文摘要 | In order to provide a practical scheme for seismic isolation design of bridges near active faults in high seismic zones with the design obvious velocity pulse effect, a combined seismic isolation system by using lead rubber bearing(LRB) and cable restrainers together with the ductility of the RC bridge columns for highway bridges was developed. Under the framework of performance-based design, the multiple performance objectives were proposed for bridges with the combined seismic isolation system under the low-level earthquake, design level earthquake and rare-level earthquake, respectively.he feasibility of the combined isolation system was illustrated by a highway bridge as an example by the time history analysis under the near-fault ground motions.Structural design details such as transverse reinforcement ratio for the columns, the gap distance at the expansion joint, the supporting length of the cap beam, and the vertical displacement restraint were proposed to ensure the performance of the seismic isolated bridges, and the performance-based isolation design method for near-fault ground motions was valid. © 2019, Editorial Board of Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
