英文摘要This paper presents the finite element (FE) model of a 12-story composite space frame with concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) columns to investigate the mechanism of progressive collapse based on an alternate load path (ALP) according to GSA. The user-defined uniaxial constitutive material models of core concrete and steel can be incorporated in subprogram UMAT provided by ABAQUS software. The user-defined material models were verified by the others' experimental results. The results show that composite frames with CFST columns mainly depend on beam end bending moment to resist progressive collapse within the small vertical deformation. When the vertical deformation is large, the structure depends on the tensile bearing capacity to resist the progressive collapse. Corresponding to different failure locations, the progressive collapse mechanism is not the same. When the corner column is damaged, the beam mechanism provide progressive collapse resistance along X/Y direction of the side frame, and there is no effect of the catenary mechanism. ©, 2015, Science Press.
