英文摘要Collapsible loess, areas are widely distributed in Northwest China, where a lot of shallow foundations of buildings were constructed. As time went by, differential settlements occurred for some of these buildings because of the pipe leakage or rainwater soakage. Tilting buildings can be always found in collapsible loess regions because of the improper ground treatment. Differential settlements of the foundation and inclination of the superstructure bring the building greatly potential danger. Through model tests, an forced settlement method inpouring water that may be used for rectifying tilting buildings is proposed. In this paper, the model tests were experimentized, of which was based upon the forced settlement inpouring water. At the same time, some conclusions are given: (1) the relationship between the stress relief and inclination amount and quantity of building settlement; (2) the relationship between the addition stress and inclination amount and quantity of building settlement; (3) the relationship between the softening soil under footing using inpouring water and inclination amount and quantity of building settlement; (4) the relationships between amount of building settlement and the water content and soil pressure in the collapsible loess. Through the experimental study for rectification model on collapsible loess ground, some theoretic problems of rectifying tilting buildings are basically resolved for collapsible loess foundation. This research results may be useful for the practice of rectifying the tilting buildings on the collapsible loess region.
