英文摘要Short-range wireless communication is well used in many areas because of its conveniency, low power consumption and peer to peer communication. In the paper we review three promising short-range wireless communication such as Ultra Wideband (UWB), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Near-field Communication (NFC).Their technical characteristics and typical applications are presented. The existing challenges to these technologies' adoption are also discussed. © 2008 IEEE.
