英文摘要To improve the grain refining performance of Al-Ti-C master alloys, Al-Ti-C master alloys grain refiners were prepared using thermal explosion synthesis of Al-Ti-C in molten aluminum. The influence of Al contents on the reaction process parameters, microstructures and grain refining performance of Al-Ti-C master alloy were investigated using DTA, XRD, SEM and grain refining tests. The results indicate that the Al-Ti-C master alloys consist of Al, Al3Ti and TiC, and the Al contents have remarkable influence on the synthesis temperature, the reaction velocity, the size and distribution of the second phase particles in the synthesized products. It is also shown that the morphology of the second phase particles have a great effect on grain refining performances, and some Al-Ti-C master alloys possess excellent grain refining performance.
