英文摘要	Steel structure construction is highly recognized in construction industry for its high qualities, such as light weight, high intensity, short duration, and energy saving, and is widely applied in engineering construction industry. With the rapid development of science and technology, it faces new challenges in quality, cost, and other aspects. How to enhance the competitiveness of steel structure construction has become one of the hottest topics not only in the development of construction information in China, but also all over the world. In our study, we effectively combined BIM technology with steel construction to implement the information management in construction material, providing a new management mode for the supply and site installation of steel structure material. © 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers.
