英文摘要The influence on the fatigue behaviors of mechanical parts by induced hardening has been studied through experimental measurements and numerical simulations. The basic fatigue properties of No. 50 steel have been obtained through rotating bending experiments. Furthermore, the fatigue properties of notched specimen under tempering and induced hardening have been obtained through three-point bending tests. X-ray diffraction is used to measure the residual stress yielded by induced hardening. An evaluation is completed through numerical simulations. The stress field of the notched specimen under fatigue load has been analyzed through a finite element model. The simulated result agrees well with the experimental one, suggesting this method can be used to predict the fatigue behaviors of notched specimens with induced hardening. © 2018 Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association.
