中文摘要Grit has been defined as keep persistence and passion for long-term goals, including two dimensions: persistence of efforts (POE) and consistency of interests (COI). In the past decade, the study of grit has become a very active field among the educational psychology scholars abroad. Besides the increasingly social competition, Grit as a positive psychological quality, has attracted more and more attention of domestic scholars. Teenagers are the future of the country and their psychological quality is directly related to the population quality of the country. Teenagers are in an important period of physical and mental development. At the same time, they are facing the pressure of study and the reformation of educational reform. Therefore, it is a great significance to investigate Grit among middle school students.This study is including two parts. The study 1 sought to validate the 12 item Grit scale, an instrument that measures perseverance and passion for long-term goals among Chinese adolescent. We used the sample of 1476 middle school students (673 boys and 802 girls) from two schools in Fujian. The scale had been tested in January 2019 and retested in five months later. The results showed that the 12 item Grit scale demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity among middle school students. As to Study 2, analyzed and summarize the related literature, we decided explored the relationship between Grit, self-identity and self-esteem among middle school students by longitudinal design. In January 2019, the Grit-12, self-identity scale (SIS) and self-esteem scale (SES) were used to investigate the students of senior one and senior two among a middle school in Fujian. After 12 months later, the same sample were retested. In this way, we got 474 valid and matched questionnaires. The cross-sectional test showed that POE and COI was separately positively correlated with self-identity, POE and COI was separately positively correlated with self-esteem, self-identity was positively correlated with self-esteem. Self-identity mediated the relationship between between POE and self-esteem, and self-identity fully mediated this relationship. Longitudinal research showed that POE in time1 was positively correlated with self-identity in time 2, POE in time1 was positively correlated with self-esteem in time 2, COI in time 1 was correlated with self-identity in time 2, while COI in time 1 was not significantly correlated with self-esteem in time 2. Longitudinal research confirmed the results which in cross-sectional test that self-identity partly mediates the relationship between between POE and self-esteem with 68.27% mediating ratio. General conclusions: (1) the 12 item Grit scale has good reliability and validity among middle school students, which is a sound measure of grit among Chinese adolescents. (2) Self-identity partly mediates the relationship between POE and self-esteem among high school students.
英文摘要坚毅指的是对长期目标的坚持和激情,分为两个维度:坚持努力(perseverance of efforts,POE)和兴趣一致(consistency of interests,COI)。有关坚毅(grit)的研究近十年来成为了国外教育心理学界一个非常活跃的领域。随着社会竞争的愈发激烈,坚毅这项积极心理品质也越来越多的受到国内学者的关注。青少年是国家的未来,青少年的心理品质直接关系到国家的人口素质。青少年正处在身心发展的重要时期,同时,他们又面临着升学压力、新课程改革的变化等等。因此,研究中学生坚毅品质极其有意义。本研究分为两部分,研究一检验12条目坚毅量表中文版在中学生群体中的信效度。样本采用2019年1月所测量的福建某市两所普通中学生1476人(男生673名,女生802名),并于五个月后重测坚毅量表。结果显示,12条目坚毅量表中文版在中学生群体中具有良好的信效度。研究二在总结、分析已有文献的基础上,通过纵向研究,探讨中学生坚毅、自我同一性与自尊的关系以及自我同一性在坚毅与自尊间的中介作用。通过问卷法于2019年1月,对福建某中学高一和高二学生采用坚毅量表(Grit-12,包括坚持努力和兴趣一致两个分量表)、自我同一性量表(SIS)、自尊量表(SES)进行问卷调查。并于12个月后针对同一批样本进行重测,最终匹配有效问卷474份。研究结果表明,在横断研究上坚毅的坚持努力、兴趣一致维度分别与自我同一性呈显著正相关;坚持努力、兴趣一致分别与自尊呈显著正相关;自我同一性与自尊呈显著正相关。横断中介作用检验结果表明,自我同一性在坚毅的坚持努力与自尊之间起到部分中介作用;自我同一性在坚毅的兴趣一致与自尊之间起到完全中介作用。纵向研究显示,一测的坚持努力与二测的自我同一性呈显著正相关,一测的坚持努力和二测的自尊呈显著正相关;一测的兴趣一致与二测的自我同一性呈显著正相关;一测的兴趣一致与二测的自尊无显著相关性。纵向中介作用检验结果进一步证实了,自我同一性在坚毅的坚持努力与自尊之间起到部分中介作用,中介效应占总效应的比例为68.27%。结论:(1)12条目坚毅量表中文版在中学生中有良好的信效度,适合在中学生群体中测量。(2)对高中生群体而言,坚毅品质中的坚持努力成分对自尊具有预测作用,而自我同一性在其间起到部分中介作用。
