| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To oscillate a distributed feedback type laser at a single longitudinal mode by adding a grating-band eliminating-filter as second periodic structure. CONSTITUTION:A distributed feedback type diffraction grating 6 is formed on the interface between a first waveguide layer 2 and a first confinement layer A grating-band eliminating-filter 7 is shaped on the interface between a second waveguide layer 4 and a second confinement layer 5. Consequently, transmittance close by a wavelength lambda1 largely reduces, and oscillation at a single longitudinal mode having a wavelength lambda2 is acquired. Accordingly, a distributed feed-back type laser is oscillated at the single longitudinal mode. |
