英文摘要 | Epoxy resins was used to impregnate the HTS coils for mechanical reinforcement and insulation. Nevertheless, as impacted by the different thermal expansion coefficients between epoxy resin and HTS tape, the performance of epoxy impregnated HTS coils will be inevitably degraded. Given this, the ice impregnation technique of pulsed magnets was employed to HTS coils for the first time. However, the mechanical strength of ice is weak, voids or cracks are easy to form during the cooling down process. In this study we try to eliminate the crack by mixing water-soluble materials into water. The mechanical strength of ice itself was enhanced by the combination ice and fiberglass. Since ice was used for the insulating material, the electric insulation property of ice cannot be affected by the added substance, the D.C. breakdown voltage of specimen was tested. |
