英文摘要Ab initio protein structure prediction is not dependent on the template, only from the amino acid sequence information. The key to this kind of protein prediction is the proper definition of energy function, accurate selection of a computer search algorithm to find the lowest energy value. Based on this, this paper describes energy functions and conformational search strategies, and lists several successful ab initio prediction methods, We conclude that the major direction of ab initio prediction in recent years is the statistical knowledge-based energy function, the existing conformational search of ab initio prediction methods all use Monte Carlo method. This shows that with the study of protein structure prediction, the critical issues such as the building of energy function, the choice of comformation search method and ab initio prediction of macromolecular proteins have made breakthrough development
