英文摘要	PURPOSE:To obtain the high-density and high-performance optical information processor by using the semiconductor laser composed of a least three resonator planes which are made into one body on a compound semiconductor substrate as a semiconductor laser beam source for recording, reproducing, and deleting the information on an information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In the optical information processor, the semiconductor laser having at least three resonator planes on a semiconductor substrate is used. The semiconductor laser comprises the part formed on a compound semiconductor substrate 51 and which is formed of an active layer and the resonator planes 54 and 53 having an enclosure layer 57 and a buried layer 58 between them, and the part formed on the same compound semiconductor substrate 51 and which is formed of a light waveguide region 59 and the resonator planes 53 and 52 having an enclosure layer 60. For the resonator plane 52, a reflection enhancing film coating 61 is formed by vapor deposition and the semiconductor layer comprises electrodes 62 and 63.
