英文摘要	A light-emitting element (10) emits fluorescence on the basis of excitation light. The light-emitting element (10) is provided with a periodic structure (5) including a plurality of phosphor layers (11) and a plurality of object layers (12). The plurality of phosphor layers (11) includes a phosphor for emitting fluorescence. The plurality of object layers (12) has a refractive index different from the refractive index of the plurality of phosphor layers (11). The plurality of phosphor layers (11) and the plurality of object layers (12) are periodically layered in alternating fashion so that a plurality of peaks in the intensity distribution of an electric field of the excitation light when the excitation light is incident on the periodic structure (5) is positioned on the plurality of object layers (12).
