英文摘要	A method of generating the current pulses needed to operate radiation-emitting semiconductor diodes does not require, in particular, an external supply voltage source for the semiconductor diode. According to the invention, this object is achieved by subjecting a piezoelectric transducer to a mechanical compressive or tensile stress for a short time and coupling the electrical energy produced by conversion of the mechanical energy into the electrical circuit of the radiation-emitting semiconductor diode by transformer means (Figure 1).
