英文摘要	PURPOSE:To make the change of a medium surface due to write uniform by varying a write current to a recording medium stepwise in accordance with relative speeds of a recording head and the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A control terminal P which changes an output current i2 is provided in a constant current power supply circuit 4' to change the current i2 in accordance with a write position on an optical disc surface, and the voltage between both ends of a resistance R of a detecting circuit 9 is supplied to an operational amplifier K, and the output of the circuit 9 is inputted to an amplifier 7 as a detection signal. Meanwhile, the optical output of an LD1 which emits light in accordance with a current (i1+i2) at a write time is converted photoelectrically by a photosensor 5, and the output of a detecting circuit 6 and the output of the amplifier 7 are inputted to a subtractor 8, and the subtraction output is supplied to a driving circuit 2 to drive the LD
