关键词We have built a high-speed sensitive camera system to capture the image sequence of cannonballs with accurate time reference which can measure the flight time of cannonballs between leaving the cannon and explosion precisely. The camera system is composed of two identical cameras of high frame frequency linear CCD calibrated with the same time base. In this paper we present the operating principle of the camera system and discuss the scheme of high-speed processing of volumes of image data. The real-time measurement less than 1 millisecond can be achieved by the proposed approach.
