中文摘要theoretical studies predicted that doping graphene with nitrogen can tailor its electronic properties and chemical reactivity. however, experimental investigations are still limited due to the lack of synthesis techniques that can deliver a reasonable quantity. we developed here a novel bottom up approach for hetero-atom doped graphene based on simple solvothermal methods under mild conditions. the hetero-atoms such as n, b and p can be effectively doped into graphene network via changing the precursors and reaction conditions. this method could enable a gram scale production at one-pass yield. these hetero-atom doped graphene can be interestingly directly as metal-free catalysts. take n-doped graphene as an example, this material have a significantly enhanced activity in catalyzing fuel cell cathode oxygen reduction reaction compared to graphene and commercial xc-72, which opens up a new avenue as a metal-free catalyst not only for oxygen reduction but also for other processes involving activation of oxygen. furthermore, these materials can be used as the supports of iron catalyst for co hydrogenation. our preliminary results indicate that the iron catalyst on n-doped graphene supports shows excellent selectivity of light olefins compared to that on b- and p-doped graphene and commercial xc-72 supports.
