中文摘要The effect of stacking-fa Lilt energy on deformation twin thickness in Cu-Al alloys subjected to plastic deformation was investigated. Under the same deformation conditions, the deformation twin thickness in Cu-Al alloys decreases monotonically with it reduction in stacking-fault energy. For the same alloy, the twin thickness becomes smaller when the sample is deformed at higher strain rates and lower temperatures. The variation of twin thickness is analyzed in terms of nucleation and growth kinetics of twins during plastic deformation. (C) 2008 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
