英文摘要	Austria is one of the countries where the debris flows cause a damage in the mountain area of Alps. There are 4200 debris flow gullies in the country and 1.51 milliard Sillings have spent for preventing the debris flows in one administration of Tirol. The debris flows are mainly distributed in the middle and west part of the mountainous area of the country. It means that 80% of debris flow gullies lie in the western of the line between Salzurg-Bischof shofen-Sachsenburg. The debris flow gullies are concentrated along the Inn River, Zellertal, Pitztal, Salzarch and upper stream of Drau River. A bursting of debris flow is due to heavy rainfall and quickly meltying of snow cover. The debris flows almost occur from May to September. The frequence of bursting is usually more than 10 years once each gully. Because of good forest cover in the mountain area the gullies of the debris flows can be found only in the place of weak bed-rock or with high peaks where the vegetation is less. The Enterbach, Muhlbach and Eckartanbach and other have brought the catastrophe to the local people in the hisotry and at present. Nevertheless, the frequence and scale of debris flow have become less and less. It is the result of more attention and measurements given by the goverment of Austria to preventing and regulating the debris flow disasters after 1860.
