Cluster matter formation in cluster collisions

英文摘要By using the tight-binding molecular dynamics simulations in cluster collisions, we give some evidences of the structures of (Nag)(2) cluster dimer and (Na-4)(4) cluster tetramer from the dynamical point of view. We show that the (Nag)2 and (Na4)4 cluster matter may exist as intermediate states and finally decay to compact structure in real collision process. With a technique called "sharp cooling", the stable cluster structures (Nag)2 and (Na4)4 are brought into being to end. The eigen-mode frequencies of these clusters are obtained with Fourier transform of the velocity auto-correlation function which can characterize their structure properties.
