英文摘要	This paper analyzed the contents, horizontal distributions and pollution sources of Pb in Jiaozhou Bay, Shandong Province, China. Results showed that Pb contents in surface waters in May, September and October 1983 were 0.75-1.67 mu g L-1, 0.58-2.33 mu g L-1 and 0.59-2.34 mu g L-1, respectively. These contents were confirmed with Grade I and Grade II in according to Chinese Sea Water Quality Standard (GB 3097-1997), indicated that the pollution level of Pb was mild contamination. The surface distributions of Pb showed that there were high content zones in different areas, including the waters in the northeast, coastal waters in the east, waters in the bay mouth in the south, and offshore area out of the bay mouth. The major sources of Pb were river flow, harbors and wharfs, and overland runoff. Cutting down Pb pollution at sources was one of the basic solutions for pollution control and environmental remediation in this multiple-pollution source bay.
