Dual threshold based key-frame selection for 2D-to-3D conversion

英文摘要In this paper, a key-frame selection method for 2D-to-3D conversion is proposed, in which the occlusion area and correspondence ratio of feature points are considered in setting the thresholds. Firstly, the occlusion ranges between two consecutive frames are detected and SURF-points of the frames are extracted. Secondly, two thresholds are calculated according to the occlusion area and the correspondence ratio of SURF-points and with the restriction of the two thresholds, the key-frame candidates are selected. Finally, the camera projection matrix is computed for each key-frame candidate, and the key-frame candidate that has the least re-projection error is determined as the key-frame.
