英文摘要	This paper deals with some issues of visual exploratory analysis on geographic phenomena, which have both spatial and temporal references. The choice of tools depends on the data characteristic and the exploratory tasks when we perfom an exploratory data analysis. Aiming at our, weather data, we introduce a spatio-temporal aquarium to facilitate detecting and analyzing changes and processes in geographic phenomena. The base of the spatio-temporal aquarium represents the two-dimensional geographical space while tire aquarium's height represents the temponal dimension. To observe spatial and temporal charactetistic of the spatio-temporal processes simultaneously is effective and efficient, and we also developed sonic more approaches to help the analyst to do usual exploration using the aquarium.
