英文摘要Mg-based materials are very promising for hydrogen storage applications. However, both the kinetic and thermodynamic problems are remaining for these applications especially for on-board storage. Here we will review the methods used by the authors to synthesize Mg-based hydrogen storage materials with nanostructure as well as some novel techniques from other researchers, and focus on how these nanotechnology processing methods could change kinetics and thermodynamics in Mg-based materials for hydrogen storage. These methods include ball milling (mechanical grinding, mechanical alloying, reactive ball milling), thin film synthesis, hydrogen plasma metal reaction, catalyzed solution synthesis etc. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd.
