关键词Incomplete Lineage Sorting Morphometrics New Species Phylogeny Shrew Species Delimitation Taxonomic Revision
英文摘要Shrews in the genus Chodsigoa are among the least known mammals in China. We sequenced one mitochondrial and two nuclear genes for 47 specimens. Using museum collections and sequences from GenBank, we integrated molecular and morphometric approaches to delimit species boundaries and estimate the phylogenetic relationships. Several species were not supported as monophyletic in individual nuclear gene trees, which may be attributed to ancient hybridization and/or incomplete lineage sorting. Nevertheless, molecular species delimitation analyses supported the validity of six named species but suggested that Chodsigoa lamula is conspecific with Chodsigoa hypsibia. We described one new species, Chodsigoa hoffmanni sp. nov., and recognized Chodsigoa furva, previously considered a subspecies of Chodsigoa parca, as a distinct species. Our molecular analyses also revealed a cryptic species that is morphologically indistinguishable from C. hypsibia. In summary, we recognize nine valid species of Chodsigoa.
