英文摘要Gyrotron traveling wave tube (gyro-twt) is a high-power, broadband millimeter amplifier. however, spurious oscillations have been a major obstacle of achieving high gain and high power in gyro-twt. an interaction circuit with distributed loss and severs is studied for stabilizing the amplification. the absolute instability, gyrotron backward-wave oscillation (gyro-bwo) and reflective oscillation have been investigated. a w-band gyro-twt operating in te01 mode has been designed and simulated. the amplifier is driven by a 100kv, 10a, mig electron beam, and is predicted to generate 250kw peak power at 94ghz with over 25% efficiency, 45db gain and about 5% bandwidth.
