| 英文摘要 | X-ray excited luminescence, optical transmission and irradiation induced absorption spectra and thermo-luminescence (tl) have been investigated on a babpo5 single crystal. a broad luminescence band of the host is found when excited by x-radiation, and it can be decomposed into two gaussian components, which are identified by the presence of defect energy levels in the band gap. four irradiation induced absorption bands are clearly observed in the uv-vis wavelength range under the excitation of x-rays but not of uv light. the radiation damage mechanism is discussed. these colour centres can be completely bleached by annealing treatment at 150 degreesc. tl measurements also give proof that there exist defect structures in the crystal, and the corresponding trapping parameters are estimated by the total glow peak method: e = 0.98 +/- 0.02 ev and s = 3.4 x 10(12) s(-1). the tl is proved to be of first-order kinetics. it is interesting that babpo5 crystals could find applications as scintillation material through control of intrinsic defects in the crystal. |
