中文摘要the behavior of azeotropic mixtures is of great interest as they are treated as pure substances. the behavior of the azeotropic mixtures was extensively studied in purification, separation and extraction aspects (1). in the present study the low-temperature heat capacities of the azeotropic mixture composed of n-propanol and benzene (0.209 and 0.791 molar fractions) were measured by an adiabatic calorimeter (2) in temperature range from 80 to 320 k. the functions of the heat capacity with respect to thermodynamic temperature were established. a glass transition was found at 99.220 k. a solid-liquid phase transition was observed at (274.127 ± 0.013) k. the corresponding enthalpy and entropy were determined to be (8.020 ± 0.017) kj mol-1 and (29.255 ± 0.061) j k-1 mol-1, respectively. the thermodynamic functions [ht – h298.15] and [st – s298.15] and the excess thermodynamic functions of the azeotrope relative to the temperature 298.15 k were derived based on the relationships of the thermodynamic functions and the function of the measured heat capacities with respect to temperature.
