Evaluation of Additional Dynamic Load Generated by Pavement Unevenness Using a Vehicle-Road Coupled Model

英文摘要In this paper, a vehicle-road coupling model is developed for evaluating the additional dynamic load generated by pavement unevenness. The vehicle is modeled as a multi-degrees-of-freedom system, the pavement is treated as an infinite plate resting on a elastic subgrade, and the foundation is modeled as a poroelastic half-space soil medium. Two typical vehicles are introduced to investigate the influences of the vehicle speed and the parameters of the pavement unevenness on the additional dynamic load. The results show that the additional dynamic load generated by the heavy truck is about 2.5 times as much as that generated by the medium truck when the vehicle moves with a speed of 140 km/h. The additional dynamic load coefficient (Kd) of the two types vehicles has not much difference, and the Kd is nearly 1.05 when the traveled lane is concerned. It also shows that the influences of the pavement unevenness parameters and vehicle types on the additional dynamic load are also significant.
