英文摘要Creep is one of the most important factors, which result in failure of surrounding rock in underground rock engineering. And the numerical computation method is the main way to predict the influence of creep on rock mass. NMM (Numerical Manifold Method) is a method which has obvious advantages at simulating the deformation of jointed rock mass. And it has much more freedom on the choice of displacement trial function, compared with other numerical computation methods. At present, it has already been applied to geotechnical engineering, however, in creep deformation analysis, it has not been used.. A pilot research on viscoelastic Numerical Manifold Method is presented in this paper, by introducing the "time step - initial strain" method into both low-order and high-order NMM The proposed method can simulate the viscoelastic creep deformation of modified Kelvin mode. Research in this paper extends the usage scope of NMM, and it provides a new way to predict disasters which are caused by creep of jointed rock mass.
