Continuous Cuffless Blood Pressure Estimation Based on Two Channels of Pulse Pressure Wave

英文摘要In this paper, we measured pulse transmit time (PTT) according to time delay between two channels of pulse pressure wave (PPW). This method effectively avoids the interference of the pre-ejection period (PEP). PTT combined with waveform features extracted from PPW were employed in a two-layer backpropagation neural network (BPNN) for blood pressure (BP) estimation. The experiment results from 9 volunteers showed that the method performed well and realized simply, with correlation coefficient of 0.90 ± 0.03 and 0.85 ± 0.05, root-mean-square error (RMSE) of 3.83 ± 2.16 mmHg and 7.86 ± 5.18 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) respectively compared with reference value from CNAP Monitor. With further investigation, the method may permit accurate, convenient measurement of BP.
