英文摘要This paper describes a new scheme to design the size-limited filter banks for orthogonal wavelet-based, finite-signal subband processing. In contrast to the existing schemes based only on boundary extension, our scheme combines boundary extension with boundary filter amendment. The advantages of our scheme lie in that we can guarantee the perfect reconstruction, independence, and orthogonality of the size-limited filter banks. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
