英文摘要	During the last half-century, the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas in our country mainly focused on continental sedimentary basins of Mesozoic and Cenozoic, namely, the first deep space. Whereas gas and oil in dual-phase (continental phase and marine phase) sedimentary layers in the second deep space (5000 similar to 10000 m) received less attention to some degree till the recent years. Through research and analyses of the formation, accumulation, migration and deep processes of oil and gas fields at home and abroad, we noted that marine sedimentary layers are widely distributed in the deep space of continental sedimentary formations. The Paleozoic strata in our country are slightly metamorphosed or non-metamorphic formations. The temperature and pressure limits of the formations of gas and oil have been surmounted by the exploring practice at home and abroad gradually. The potential of the second deep space is huge. Putting forward and putting the concepts above into effects can not only extend the deep space of the exploration of oil and gas but also are the inevitable direction of finding large scale and ultra large scale oil and gas reservoirs in the future.
