英文摘要A Ka-band high performance composite right/left-handed (CRLH) leaky-wave antenna (LWA) is designed and reported in this paper. This LWA is based on an air-filled CRLH waveguide with double ridge corrugations (DRCs). Meandering long slot is cut on the smooth broadwall of the CRLH waveguide to realize a tapered excitation distribution. The antenna synthesis method for this CRLH LWA is studied intensively. The designed CRLH LWA is simulated with the optimized sidelobe levels below -20 dB achieved for the radiation patterns in the operating band, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the antenna synthesis method for high performance CRLH LWAs.
