英文摘要	顾明栋，扬州大学特聘教授，美国德州大学人文艺术学院教授，文学博士。; 【中文摘要】“汉学主义”的理论自提出以后，在国内外引起了不少学者的关注。在诸多评论“汉学主义”的学者中，基本上有三种看法。第一种认为提出“汉学主义”是有意义和价值的，应该赞扬和鼓励。第二种认为“汉学主义”虽然有意义和价值，但问题也不少，应该质疑批评以促使其进一步完善。第三种认为“汉学主义”是东方主义的翻版，既然已有后殖民理论，就没有必要提出名目虽新却没有创意的什么“主义”，而且东方主义和后殖民理论本身也问题不少，“汉学主义”以有问题的理论作为理论基础难以成立。通过回应以张西平和赵稀方二位先生为代表的后两种批评意见，可以更深入理解萨义德的东方主义理论和后殖民理论，澄清一些对“汉学主义”理论与实践的误解，并回答对汉学研究、中西研究和跨文化研究具有重要意义的几个问题:“汉学主义”理论是不是二元对立的研究范式？以意识形态为主导的跨文化研究在全球化的今天是否还有价值？中西研究和中国知识生产应该遵循什么样的理论范式？ 【Abstract】“Sinologism” has，since its rise， aroused much interest from scholars both at home and abroad. Among those who have criticized it， there are three opinions. Firstly， some consider it meaningful and valuable to advance such a theory and express their approval and encouragement. Secondly， some others are of the opinion that though it is meaningful and has value， Sinologism is replete with problems， which should be challenged and criticized so as to improve it. Thirdly， still others maintain that Sinologism is a duplicate of Orientalism， and since we have already had postcolonial theory， it is unnecessary to advance a theory which is new in name but lacks original ideas. Moreover， Orientalism and postcolonialism have their own theoretical problems. It is therefore hard for Sinologism to establish itself on problematic theories. By responding to the latter two opinions expressed by two representative scholars， Zhang Xiping and Zhao Xifang，we may achieve a deeper understanding of Orientalism and postcolonialism， clarify some misunderstandings of Sinologism in its theory and practice，and answer some important questions for sinology，China-West studies，and cross-cultural studies: Is Sinologism a duplicate theory of Orientalism? Is it constructed on a paradigm of binary oppositions? Do cross-cultural studies with ideological orientations still have value in the current age of globalization? What theoretical paradigms should China- West studies and the production of China knowledge follow?
