英文摘要	近代中国的社会转型，既是以外来的冲击和示范为诱因，又以既有的格局与秩序为背景。其间的展开与演进，处处显示出制度的镶嵌、渗入与竞合。作为社群组织之一，汉传佛教的僧团、僧界亦复如是。本文试图以《海潮音》在这一过程中所起作用为切入点，从现代佛教的“入世”取向、“人间佛教”思想的在其内容上的呈现与影响上的展开为线索，探讨当作为嵌入之物的近代化媒介，及其所承载交往方式被引入佛教社群后，对其共享观念、社会功能以及聚合形态所产生的影响。并希望以此透视此类嵌入在中国的传统社群的现代化转型中的形塑作用。 本文主要采用文献分析法，通过对民国宗教刊物《海潮音》的整理，以及与其他同时期相关研究的文献资料相结合的方法...; The process of Modern Chinese development is a process of the traditional to the modern.
